Education Mentoring
Don’t prepare alone—develop your startup through education and mentoring
For international students preparing to start a business in Korea, understanding the market, validating customers, designing a business model, connecting visa-related information, and preparing for company establishment are just as important as having an idea itself.
This page introduces education and mentoring pathways available to foreign entrepreneurs and connects users to official public institutions and platforms for actual applications.
Basic Information
One of the representative programs for foreign entrepreneurs is OASIS, which provides startup education, mentoring, incubation, and company establishment support in an integrated way. Operated by a Global Startup Immigration Center designated by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, OASIS supports tech-based foreign entrepreneurs by combining startup support with visa linkage.
According to the 2026 OASIS schedule, the program includes Basic Startup Education (OASIS-4), One-on-One Mentoring (OASIS-5), Incubating (OASIS-7), and Company Establishment Support (OASIS-8). Mentoring mainly focuses on areas needed in the early stage of startup preparation, such as market research and customer analysis.
Since 2025, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups has also operated the Global Startup Center, which provides foreign entrepreneurs with support in settlement, legal and patent consulting, visa acquisition, incorporation, investment attraction programs, networking, and office space. In addition, the Startup Korea Special Visa is operated as a visa pathway that evaluates the business potential and innovation of startup ideas, making it suitable for designing education and mentoring together with visa preparation.
For broader access to startup information and support opportunities, K-Startup is also useful. K-Startup is the official portal that provides integrated information on government startup support programs, startup-related information, and support announcements.
